Expiry and Reminders

Document expiry

You can set an expiry date when creating an envelope. After this date, pending signers can no longer access the signing link and the envelope status changes to Expired.

Expiry dates are useful for time-sensitive agreements such as offers, quotes, or regulatory filings. If no expiry is set, the signing link remains active indefinitely.

Automatic reminders

Enable automatic reminders to send periodic email nudges to signers who have not yet signed. You can configure the reminder cadence (e.g. every 2 days, every week). Reminders stop automatically once the signer completes their fields.

Manual reminders

You can also send a one-off reminder at any time from the document detail page. Click the Remind button next to the signer's name to send a fresh email with a new signing link.
