Sealed PDFs and Evidence Packs

What is a sealed PDF?

Once all signers complete their fields, SignMeHere produces a sealed PDF. This is the final signed document with all signatures, initials, and text fields permanently embedded. The sealed PDF includes a tamper-evident footer on each page showing the envelope ID and a verification hash.

Evidence pack

The evidence pack is a comprehensive audit record that accompanies the sealed PDF. It includes:

  • A timestamped log of every action (sent, opened, viewed, signed).
  • IP addresses and user-agent information for each signer.
  • The signing link token used by each signer.
  • A cryptographic hash of the sealed document.

Downloading

Go to the completed envelope on your dashboard and click Download. You can download the sealed PDF alone or the full evidence pack as a ZIP file.

Legal standing

Electronic signatures collected through SignMeHere comply with major e-signature legislation including the US ESIGN Act and UETA. The sealed PDF and evidence pack provide a complete evidentiary record in the event of a dispute.
