How to send a document for signature

Sending a Document for Signature

Click Send for Signature on your dashboard to start a new envelope. The process has three steps:

Step 1 — Upload your document

Drag and drop or browse for your file. SignMeHere accepts PDF, DOCX, and common image formats (PNG, JPG) up to 25 MB per file. You can upload multiple documents into a single envelope.

Step 2 — Add recipients

Enter each signer's name and email address. You can choose parallel signing (everyone signs at once) or sequential signing (signers receive the document in a specific order). You can also add CC recipients who receive a copy of the completed document without needing to sign.

Step 3 — Place fields

Drag signature, initials, date, and text fields onto the document and assign each field to a signer. Required fields are marked with a red border. When you are satisfied, click Send — each recipient receives a secure signing link by email.

After sending

Track progress from your dashboard. You can send reminders, resend invitations, or cancel the request at any time before all parties have signed.
